Booker T. Washington: Speech to Atlanta Cotton States and International Exposition: Atlanta, Georgia (1895)
He was a former slave and the most influential African American as the 20th century began. One of the first African American speeches ever recorded, by a black man invited to speak to an all-white audience, were both historic events.
